ExciseTrace connects a production line to the state eExcise system as one circuit: cameras read every unit at conveyor speed while the system tracks marks from ordering to shipment. It runs on live production lines every day.
What the system does
Reads the DataMatrix code of every unit at line speed — with cameras, no handheld scanning.
Verifies application right after printing: an unreadable or duplicated code never enters circulation.
Aggregates units into group packaging (UGI): cases and pallets get their codes directly on the line.
Activates marks in eExcise within the paid excise balance — per shift or batch.
Produces excise electronic documents (AED) for shipments, including transfers between own warehouses.
Runs autonomously through state-system outages: buffers events and redelivers them after recovery, without stopping the line.
Keeps a complete operations log fit for reconciliations and inspections.
